The Executive Director search committee and the entire Board of Directors have been busy these last few months searching for the next leader of GEMS Girls’ Clubs. We know many of you have joined us in praying for God’s direction—thank you! We believe He’s answered those prayers and are excited to fill you in!
The exciting update we want to share is we have hired our next Executive Director! Her name is Wendy Hammond and she has spent her entire career in the Christian nonprofit sector—inspired by Micah 6:8, the life verse she adopted when she attended GEMS. Wendy has extensive experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and leadership and has held positions such as Director of Church and Community Engagement, Vice President of Ministry Partnerships & Advancement, and Executive Director. She has a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in nonprofit management. Her official start date at GEMS is May 20.
