Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life
“Follow your heart.” “Speak your own truth.” “Be you.”
These dangerous cultural trail signs are leading our girls astray. With so many paths to choose from, each claiming to offer fulfillment, our girls are left feeling lost and lonely, and longing for Truth.
How will our girls ever find their way?
But what if girls knew the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: Jesus?!
And what if girls linked arms with courageous GEMS Leaders to help them follow Jesus, equipping them to navigate life with the living Word of God as their compass?
What if girls were empowered by the Spirit to follow Jesus for a lifetime? How would their lives change? How would our world change?
Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life teaches girls that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Through Wayfinder, girls will be equipped to navigate life with God’s Word as their trustworthy compass. With the Spirit as their faithful Helper, girls will be empowered to journey with Jesus alongside their fellow courageous GEMS Girls and Leaders.
This generation of girls is ready for adventure and hungry for truth. Now is the time to engage girls with God’s life-changing Word, the capital-T Truth, and equip them to follow Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life their whole lives long!
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6).
Through Wayfinder, girls will:
- Encounter the living, Triune God and be inspired to worship Him in awe and wonder.
- Discover why Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and see how the whole Bible points to Him.
- Experience “mountaintop moments” in Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
- Explore eight key questions about the Christian faith and learn to articulate biblical answers.
- Journey with God for a lifetime through prayer, Scripture memory, worship, service, and more.
Wayfinder Curriculum
With Wayfinder, you’ll experience eight weeks of club, plus at least eight Wayfinder service projects (available in the Wayfinder Online Resources) in three flexible options:
OPTION 1: WAYFINDER: FOLLOWING THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE ALONE
This works well for clubs that meet monthly or for a shortened season: October-December, January-March, or June-August. Use Wayfinder as a stand-alone resource for up to sixteen weeks. You will have everything you need for a complete club gathering.
OPTION 2: WAYFINDER: FOLLOWING THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE + Badges
This works well for clubs that meet two or more times a month and desire to rotate lesson nights and badge work. Use the sixteen weeks of Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life with GEMS Girls’ Clubs badges.
OPTION 3: WAYFINDER: FOLLOWING THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE + Badges + Other GEMS Supplemental Curriculum
This works well for all clubs, no matter the length of their season. Use the sixteen weeks of Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life with other GEMS curricula, plus badges. Additionally, you can consider incorporating GEMS Outdoors into your regular club season.
