When you become an official GEMS Club, you gain a ministry partner. From preparing for your first gathering to supporting your Leaders throughout the year, GEMS provides practical tools, personal guidance, and a community to help your Club thrive.
Personal Support as You Get Started
New Clubs receive two years of one-on-one support from our Club Engagement Specialist. You’ll have someone to turn to as you plan your Club, choose resources, equip your Leaders, and navigate questions along the way. You don’t have to figure everything out before you begin—or do it alone once you’ve started.
Resources That Help You Lead with Confidence
Your membership gives your Club Leaders access to the GEMS Portal, with resources that help you prepare, recruit, and make the most of your time with girls:
- Leader training videos and resources to help new and returning volunteers feel prepared to lead.
- The first 30 Discovery Path digital badge activities, including Mentor’s Helps and Girl Activity Pages, to help girls explore interests, build skills, and grow in faith.
- The GEMS Girls’ Clubs Leadership Guide and the GEMS Outdoors Handbook offer practical guidance for your ministry.
- My GEMS Journey Binder printable components to help girls capture what they’re learning and celebrate their growth.
- Recruiting materials to help you invite girls and volunteers into your Club.

Member Pricing on Curriculum & Resources
As an official GEMS Club, you receive member pricing equivalent to 30% off all curriculum and GEMS Store items, helping your ministry budget go further as you equip your Leaders and girls.
You Belong in the GEMS Sisterhood
Your membership welcomes you into the GEMS Sisterhood—a community of Club Leaders across the country and around the world serving girls right alongside you. Join us for live virtual and in-person trainings and events to learn, share ideas, build friendships, and find encouragement. With ongoing support from the GEMS team and connections with fellow Leaders, you’ll have people to turn to and milestones to celebrate together.
What Does It Cost to Start a Club?
Your membership fee is based on the number of girls in your Club. New Clubs pay their first annual membership fee plus a one-time startup fee of $100 USD | $135 CAD.
The table below shows the breakdown and your total first-year membership cost.
U.S. Club Pricing
All amounts are in U.S. dollars.
After your first year: You renew your annual Club membership at the rate in effect for your Club’s size. The one-time startup fee is not charged again.
For example, a new Club with 12 girls currently pays $199 USD for its first year: $99 for membership plus the $100 startup fee. The current annual renewal rate for that size Club is $99 USD.
Curriculum and selected supplies are purchased separately.
Pricing is subject to change. Future renewals will be charged at the applicable rates in effect at that time.
Canadian Club Pricing
All amounts are in Canadian dollars.
After your first year: You renew your annual Club membership at the rate in effect for your Club’s size. The one-time startup fee is not charged again.
For example, a new Club with 12 girls currently pays $270 CAD for its first year: $135 for membership plus the $135 startup fee. The current annual renewal rate for that size Club is $135 CAD.
Curriculum and selected supplies are purchased separately.
Pricing is subject to change. Future renewals will be charged at the applicable rates in effect at that time.
Planning Your Club Budget
Your membership provides access to the resources and support described above. Core Bible Study Curriculum, GEMS Outdoors, and additional Discovery Path Badge Activities are purchased separately.
Your additional costs will depend on the ministry experiences and supplies you choose. These may include printed Leader Guides and girls’ journals, embroidered badges, and supplies for activities or special events.
You can build your year around Core Bible Study Curriculum, GEMS Outdoors, Discovery Path badge activities, or a combination of all three. Choose what fits your girls, Leaders, and budget.
Your first-year budget includes: Club membership + one-time startup fee + selected curriculum and supplies.
Your budget in future years includes: Annual Club membership + selected curriculum and supplies.
