Buttons

Looking for a friend is like trying to find matching buttons. Sometimes it takes a while. Maybe the button is right in front of you, but you don’t see it. Or, maybe the button that matches best is a totally different button. Maybe it’s not even the same size or color!

For a great first activity to do together, try this button craft!

What You Need

Supplies:

• Thick paper

• Liquid or hot glue

• Buttons (ask your grown-ups if they have buttons you can use!)

Directions

Directions

1. Sort through the buttons with your friend. Look for buttons that you think are pretty, or that look good together. This is the most fun if you have a ton of buttons. If your grown-ups don’t have any buttons, you can find cool ones at garage sales or thrift stores.

2. Make the buttons you pick into a design or picture. Go to gemsgc.org/sparkle/ to download our free button picture outlines if you need help.

3. Glue your buttons on the paper. Wait for glue to dry.

4. Share your picture with your friend!
